Domestic violence

The GMB general union has launched a training manual and information pack on domestic violence. The pack was developed in the GMB's Birmingham and West Midlands region as part of the Daphne project, a European Union-funded programme to prevent violence against women.

The training is intended to explain to both employers and union reps why domestic violence is a matter for the workplace and what structures need to be put in place to offer support to workers suffering from violence at home.
