Trades councils

The TUC, together with labour movement ISP Leftspace, is developing the “Unions in the Community” trades councils website.

The development means each trades council and county association will have a unique web address and an area of the website, allowing it to promote local campaigns, put up articles and pictures or simply advertise the next meeting.

Meanwhile, the trades council movement has a logo of its own for the first time, thanks to a competition among trades councils to produce one. The winning entry, designed by Carla Paillard from Merseyside County Association of Trades Union Councils, can be viewed at: www.tuc.org.uk/tucfiles/412/COMPETITION%20LOGOS%20winner.pdf
