More German strikes

Germany’s services union, Ver.di, has said it is planning more strikes at Amazon in an attempt to improve workers’ pay and conditions.

Ver.di, which has organised strikes at the online retailer in the past, wants the company to accept that it is covered by the collective agreement for retail, which would mean more money for those working there.

Amazon argues that it is in the lower-paying distribution industry and that it pays above the minimum for distribution.
