Bullied hotel workers

The Unite general union has commissioned a powerful graphically-illustrated novel, Tale of two cities, which tells the story of bullied and exploited London hotel workers and their journey to get organised.

The union is using the novel as a recruitment tool to reach out to workers who often do not speak English and know very little about their rights at work.

The book, by artist and former chambermaid Barbara Pokryszka, reveals the poor working conditions of British hotel workers.

Unite is serialising Tale of two cities on the Unite Live website.
