Awards for injury to feelings
The “Vento” bands for awards for injury to feelings have been updated by the Presidents of the Employment Tribunals in England, Wales and Scotland in joint presidential guidance.
For claims issued on or after 6 April 2018, the lower band (for less serious cases) is £900-£8,600, the middle band is £8,600 to £25,700 and the upper band (for the most serious cases) is £25,700 to £42,900. The most exceptional cases will be capable of awards in excess of £42,900.
