Army union

A proposal from the Scottish National Party to allow armed forces personnel to form a union is to be put to the House of Commons, according to The Scotsman newspaper.

A Private Members’ Bill has been put forward by SNP MP Martin Docherty-Hughes that would establish a body along the lines of the Police Federation. Soldiers would not have the right to strike, however.
