Ver.di recruitment campaign

Ver.di, Germany’s second largest union, which organises in both public and private services, is aiming to increase its membership in 2020 from its current level of 1,955,080.

The union suffered a 0.7% membership loss in 2019, with gains in health, transport, education and banking more than offset by losses in retail, telecommunications and health insurance.

The aim is to win 130,000 new recruits in 2020 compared with 125,873 in 2018.
