One in five of us faces bullying at work

Workplace bullying remains widespread in the UK, according to two reports published for this year's National Ban Bullying at Work Day on 7 November.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's Tackling bullying at work found that one in five workers has been a victim of bullying or harassment at work in the last two years.

Another survey, carried out by the British Occupational Health Research Foundation at three NHS trusts, found that 59% of nurses and midwives stated that they or their colleagues in the same job were being bullied in their trust.

Both reports highlighted that ethnic minority workers face even higher levels of bullying at work.
