Minimum wage increases in Luxembourg

The minimum wage for unskilled workers in Luxembourg went up by 2.5% at the start of June to €1,322.47 a month based on a 40-hour week. It was previously €1,290.

The increase in the minimum wage is a result of Luxembourg's system of automatic indexation, which comes into effect once prices have risen by more than 2.5%.

However, in Luxembourg it is not just the minimum wage that is automatically indexed. Pay, pensions and other state benefits all go up in line with inflation, once the increase has been triggered.
