Recognition win for NUJ

the national Union of Journalists has won recognition for editorial staff at the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health/Chadwick House Group Ltd after taking the case through the statutory procedures.

The Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) awarded recognition without the union having to hold a ballot after finding that 80% of the 15 workers were members of the union. Around one-third of recognition awards made by the CAC do not require a ballot.
