Communications union plans stress policies

The top two causes of stress at work for members the Communication Workers Union (CWU) are bad management and excessive workloads according to the results of a major survey published earlier this month.

The union will use the investigation as a basis to negotiate a policies to tackle stress at work. The policies will include guidelines on recognition, prevention and rectification of work related stress.

The survey was carried out by the Labour Research Department the results were published in a 32-page booklet launched at the CWU's annual Conference.
