Gender pay gap tool

An interactive tool has been developed that allows the public to find out the gender pay gap for their occupation.

The tool, developed by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), shows construction and building trades, and financial managers and directors and printers have the highest gender pay gaps.

The search is done according to occupation and part-time or full-time work. The user can find out the gender pay gap and average earnings in their line of work and also how many women and men are employed in this role.

The gender pay gap for all employees — part-time and full-time — was 18.1% in April last year, according to the ONS.
