What’s the rate for the job?


Members of the UCU university and college union are being urged to check their salary against that of other education professionals.


For the higher education sector, UCU is making use of full-time equivalent salary data from Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), by contract level, with RPI inflation dataI.


Average salary data for FE is taken from the latest available Freedom of Information request by UCU (colleges that have not yet responded to the FoI request are being actively followed up). 


The full version of the service is only available to UCU members, but a “lite” version requiring users to input their institution name, job, gender, salary and email address is available on the union’s web site.
