Living Wage at Securitas

An agreement has been reached between the GMB general union and Securitas to ensure that all staff at the security company will be paid the real Living Wage, currently £8.75 across the UK and £10.20 in London, within three years.

The union said the deal was a “massive victory”, and it would be working with the company to ensure that all 10,000 Securitas staff and contractors were paid the wage by November 2020.

“For too long these workers have been undervalued and underpaid and we applaud Securitas in being the first major security employer to recognise the true value of their role,” said GMB national officer Roger Jenkins.
