Agency staff in Germany
The DGB union confederation has signed a pay deal for the around 800,000 workers employed by agencies. The deal runs from 1 January 2020 until 31 December 2022, and increases pay by 1.9% in April 2020, 3.0% in April 2021 and 4.1% in April 2022. (Increases in East Germany are higher.) The 2020 increase is slightly above inflation, which was 1.5% in December 2019.
