Bosses' fears
Top bosses are driven by fear when it comes to health and safety, but few deal with it as a boardroom issue, according to researchers from the London School of Economics. The research found that the main factor driving employers to control risks was the fear of damage to their corporation's reputation, followed by the fear of criminal liability - with fear of compensation claims ranked only ninth.
