New guidance on stress

New guidance on workplace stress was launched by the HSE in October. Real solutions, real people - a managers' guide to tackling work-related stress includes practical measures for tackling stress in the workplace.

The guidance applies the risk assessment approach used in other HSE publications. It can be used with the management standards launched by the HSE earlier this year. The standards are currently being piloted by 25 organisations, with further consultation planned for 2004. The standards can be used to negotiate agreements on stress.
