Women on boards
The TUC has called on ministers to introduce compulsory quotas to increase the number of women in the boardroom amid recent revelations that progress has stalled.
A Cranfield School of Management study found that progress in FTSE 100 firms in appointing more women executives has plateaued in the past six months.
TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady said: “While we welcome recent cross-party efforts to alter boardroom culture, this has not led to meaningful change.“
