Compensation for injury sustained abroad
A member of the PCS civil service union has been awarded compensation for an injury he sustained while working at the British Embassy in Washington DC after the union backed his case.
Nicholas Callow fractured his wrist while working at the embassy.
Callow said as a result of his case, “If any civil servant is unfortunate enough to have an accident overseas and wish to pursue a compensation claim, they can do so knowing that English law will be applicable”.
