TUC issues RSI compensation case guidance

The TUC has published a guide to help union representatives put together an RSI compensation case.

The guide, How to win an RSI compensation case, written by Nigel Tomkins an authority on personal injury litigation, aims to ensure that unions are able to help people with RSI put their case most effectively when seeking compensation for personal injury.

According to the TUC, over 150,000 people each year suffer from RSI but only 3,000 managed to to be successful in compensation claims last year. The TUC hopes that better preparation will help more sufferers obtain fair compensation, while also weeding out cases likely to fail.

The guide contains sections on: how to prepare a case, including what evidence is required; the law and how to prove breaches of duty; and significant legal cases.

How to win an RSI compensation case is available from the TUC, price £50 (£5 for trade unions); tel: 020 7636 4030 or visit the website at www.tuc.org.uk
