Employment Act
The Employment Act 2002 received Royal Assent on 8 July 2002. The Act will give new rights to working parents, effective from April 2003. Unions are concerned about the plans to limit the right of workers to take their claims to employment tribunals. The Act will require all employers to have disciplinary and grievance procedures.
