Funds for union modernisation

The government has set out the rules for its Union Modernisation Fund, which will make between £5 million and £10 million available for unions to modernise themselves over the next few years. The fund will be available for projects which, reflecting the changing labour market and changing needs of workers and employers, improve the organisational effectiveness or efficiency of a union or unions. This can be in relation to its members (or prospective) members, its staff, its internal operations or its "ability to work in partnership with employers".
