Morris awarded
Bill Morris, general secretary of the T&G general union, has received the Public Figure Of The Year award at the Ethnic Multicultural Media Awards annual ceremony.
He accepted the award "as recognition for the work that has been done by so many people on behalf of asylum seekers. It has been my privilege to be the voice for those who...cannot be heard."
