Employee involvement commission goes ahead
The German government has announced that a planned commission to examine the German system of employee representation at board level is to go ahead.
The system has been criticised by some employers, although defended by others.
The aim of the commission is to make recommendations as to how the German system can be made "fit for Europe".
The nine-member body consists of three leading union representatives - including Michael Sommer, head of the DGB German union confederation, three employers and three independent academics.
