Sainsbury's staff take time out for the T&G

The T&G general union has launched an unusual organising campaign at Sainsbury’s supermarkets.

A team of Sainsbury’s workers have given up their supermarket jobs for a few months to work alongside full-time union organisers in running an organising drive.

Funded by T&G Sainsbury’s branches, they are implementing a long-term strategy to organise across the company and build on existing membership, with the goal of achieving joint recognition with shopworkers’ union USDAW.
