New resources online

Safety reps at telecom giant BT in the North West have set up their own website - www.unionsafety.co.uk - featuring useful news and resources for safety reps in any job.

The website, a joint venture between telecom unions CWU and Connect, shows how unions at a local level can use technology to create more effective networks.

Other useful resources have also recently gone online.

The European Agency for Health and Safety at Work has produced a factsheet on workplace safety for disabled people, available at europe.osha.eu.int/good_practice/person/disability

The World Health Organisation has launched a new occupational health website, at www.who.int/occupational_health/en

And the International Labour Organisation's Encyclopaedia of occupational health and safety is now available free on the web at www.ilo.org/encyclopaedia
