More funds for advisers
The Health and Safety Commission (HSC) is calling for bids for the second round of the Worker Safety Adviser Challenge Fund.
The maximum grant available in this round is £200,000 spread over two years. Award-winners will be announced in March 2005, with funding beginning on 1 April.
The TUC wants unions to bid - the vast majority of successful bids in the first round were union-led - and is arguing that unions should have the right to appoint roving safety reps.
