Developing Payline

The LRD Payline database of collective agreements covers all areas of the UK economy and has details on over 2,600 agreements covering over nine million workers.

LRD is continually looking to improve the service and is doing this in two ways. Firstly it is extending the areas covered. Payline has details of pay rates, the latest settlement, working hours, holidays, regional allowances, maternity, childcare provision, special leave, paternity and adoption leave and pay, dependency leave and mileage allowances. This month information on shift premia will also be available to all subscribers.

Secondly, LRD is working with subscribing unions to provide them with tailored services. For example, the Department has set up a system for the FBU firefighters' union which provides the full text of locally negotiated agreements. Meanwhile the Payline version for the PCS civil service union is being developed and will provide detailed information across the many civil service agreements with pay rates linked to traditional civil service grades.

Payline can be searched by industry, occupation, location, and type of agreement.
