Kyran Connolly

The Labour Research Department was saddened to hear of the death last month of former NUJ president and organiser Kyran Connolly.

He served on LRD’s executive committee from 2008 to 2011.

LRD secretary Lionel Fulton said: “Kyran will be very much missed. We’ll remember him particularly for his lively contributions to our executive committee discussions.”

Described by his union as a hugely popular figure, he is survived by his sister and twin brother.
