Slips and trips campaign
The HSE launched the second phase of its Shattered Lives campaign last month, aimed at reducing slips and trips at work. A total of 61 people died and more than 14,000 suffered serious injury as a result of a slip, trip or fall from height in British workplaces last year. HSE launched STEP, an interactive learning package to help tackle slips, trips and falls in the workplace. The tool can be accessed online at www.hse.gov.uk/slips/step/index.htm
