Manual handling made more user-friendly

Guidance on manual handling in the printing industry has been made more user-friendly by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Workers engaged in the printing industry are at risk of being exposed to some of the most carcinogenic chemicals routinely found in workplaces. Competent safety management and adequate training on appropriate handling techniques is therefore vital.

The HSE website has extensive content applicable to this sector and now these materials, which include assessment charts, leaflets and guidance, are all available in one place.
