Action on bullying of international recruits

The CSP phsyiotherapists’, RCM midwives’ and SoR radiographers’ unions have issued a joint call for action to tackle the bullying of international recruits.

The unions developed new guidance, Supporting international recruitment — principles & standards, after finding poor and sometimes "horrifying" treatment of international recruits, including bullying, harassment and discrimination.

The SoR recently represented a member whose case against an independent provider, it said, "featured elements of modern slavery".

Guides providing international recruits with advice and essential information about their rights at every stage of the recruitment process are also planned.
