New rates

The Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order 2025 means that, from 6 April 2025, new weekly rates for key payments to workers come into effect. These include:

• the rate of Statutory Sick Pay rises from £116.75 to £118.75;

• rates for Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Statutory Adoption Pay, Statutory Shared Parental Pay and Statutory Parental Bereavement Pay increase from £184.03 to £187.18; and

• the rate for Maternity Allowance also increases from £184.03 to £187.18.
