Pay and anniversary dates harmonised
Workers at the Newry site of Northern Irish construction supplier Haldane Fisher are to see their pay and anniversary dates harmonised with the rest of the company’s 20 branches in the UK and Ireland. Currently, Newry workers are paid weekly, which makes them different from their colleagues at other sites on monthly wages.
Last August, the same workers called off 12 days of planned strike action after the company agreed to a 12% pay increase, in a deal which will be implemented over 15 months.
