Nuclear academy
The GMB general union has welcomed the announcement by Rolls-Royce that it is to establish a new nuclear manufacturing academy in Derby, which will train over 200 students in the specialist area when it opens later this year.
The union said: “This landmark commitment from Rolls-Royce will secure the future of high quality, unionised work at Derby over the next decade, supporting highly skilled jobs for the city.”
