Austrian hospitality deal
The union vida and the employers have agreed an above inflation deal to help the industry recruit and retain staff. Pay is to go up by 6% in May 2024 and 2% in November, at a time when inflation is only 3.5% (April). In 2025 pay will go up by inflation plus 1%. The 12-month deal, which starts in May 2024 covers around 240,000 employees.
