Local and regional settlement in Sweden

Kommunal, the main Swedish union for health, care and municipal government, has reached a one-year deal with municipal and regional employers. This follows mediation after Kommunal announced a strike, and it runs for 12 months from 1 April 2024. The central figure for the increase – the average available per person – is SEK 985 a month (around £72) although the actual increase is negotiated locally. There is a minimum guaranteed increase of SEK 450 (£33). As part of the settlement the two sides have agreed to look in detail at the operation of the pay agreement and at working hours.
