Union announces Easter passport strike

Civil Service union the PCS has announced that staff working in passport control at Heathrow Airport have served notice for a week of strike action over Easter.

The strike by nearly 450 PCS members is due to start on 1 April and is in response to the imposition of new rosters which the union says are considered to be unworkable. It will take place at the same time that Unite members plan to strike over Heathrow Airport Limited’s attempt to “fire and rehire” workers on inferior wages and conditions.
