Recognition
The GMB general union has finally won the right to collectively bargain pay and conditions for a group of 40 “experienced demo drivers” who transport cars for BMW.
The drivers are employed by BCA Logistics and were stripped of their union recognition when BCA won the contract from DHL Inside Track.
The union went to the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) and was awarded statutory recognition without a ballot, as more than half of the drivers were already GMB members.
