Cost of living boost

Old Bushmills Distillery (Casa Cuervo) applied a 4.5% increase from 1 August 2022, under the second stage of a three-year deal based on RPI + 0.25% (capped at a maximum 4.25%). However, with the cost of living crisis and four months of negotiations, Unite secured an additional £350 onto basic salaries and a one-off lump sum of £1,350. In the third year of the existing agreement, from 1 August 2023, a further increase based on RPI is due, again underpinned at 1% and capped at 4.25%.
