2020 pay survey available now

LRD has released its 2020 report on pay in a free to view format.

Covering the period from August 2019 to July 2020, the analysis utilises data from LRD’s Payline database to provide a comprehensive oversight of pay and conditions.

This year it shows that overall, the median pay increase was 2.5% to 2.55% on the lowest adult pay rate.

Many increases were agreed before lockdown, so the effect of the pandemic on pay is an evolving picture. In some of the worst-hit sectors - such as aviation and the performing arts - previously agreed pay increases have been cancelled and, in some cases, pay cuts have been made.
