Let them eat cake
A cruise company has taken a novel – if unwelcome – approach to employment compensation.
MSC Cruises had advertised a temporary seven-day contract for a tea and cakes taster on board one of its ships.
“Accommodation will be provided, as well as a daily wage of tea and cake,” the advert ends.
It’s not clear if the Captain’s parrot is also paid peanuts.
