New Codes of Practice

Three new Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) and accompanying guidance have been issued by the HSE relating to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. They cover: the safe use of woodworking machinery; the safe use of power presses; and the safe use of work equipment.

The ACOP’s and the accompanying guidance are substantially the same, but have been clarified and updated. They are aimed at employers and dutyholders, but safety reps will also find them useful.
