French rail strike
The rolling strikes that have hit French railways since the start of April look set to continue, going beyond the end of June end-date initially set by the unions.
However, it’s unclear whether all four unions involved in the strike so far will press ahead with the action. The more militant confederations, CGT and SUD, have said they will continue, possibly into August. But the more moderate CFDT was due to decide on the future of the action as Labour Research went to press.
The fourth confederation, UNSA, has already said it does not wish to see the strikes continue.
