Aberdeen airport deal
Workers at Aberdeen International Airport, members of the Unite general union, have accepted a 3% pay deal following a new offer by company management with industrial action cancelled. The union had rejected a 2.8% offer.
Unite had been demanding parity with fellow workers at Glasgow International Airport.
Unite regional industrial officer Tommy Campbell said: “It is a credit to our union stewards that Unite members supported their position throughout the process leading to a settlement acceptable to all.”
Aberdeen International Airport is owned by AGS Airports — a partnership between Ferrovial and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), established in 2014, to acquire Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports.
