New MPs
The House of Commons is now more diverse than it has ever been, with women now comprising 29% of the 650 MPs, up from 22% in the 2010 intake. This is largely due to Labour: women account for 43% of MPs in the Labour Party while 36% of SNP MPs are women.
There are now 42 ethnic minority members in the new Parliament (6.4%), an increase from 27 in the 2010 Parliament.
