Be smart — get WorkSmart app


The TUC is piloting a new app to provide young people who are not involved in unions with advice on employment rights and other work advice.


The development of the WorkSmart app is part of the TUC’s 150th anniversary activity, which has a theme of recruiting young workers into the union movement. Only a quarter of union members are aged under 35, while this age group accounts for almost two in five employees.


The app is designed to avoid the traditional terminology of the union movement, so it’s described as: “The app that helps you discover your strengths at work, fix your problems and build your career.”
