Manx Co-op pens recognition deal with Usdaw


Shopworkers’ union Usdaw has signed a recognition agreement with the Manx Co-op Society, a subsidiary of the Co-op Group which has joined the Co-op Employers’ Association. 


“For the first time ever, staff on the Isle of Man will be included in the Co-op Employers’ Association bargaining unit, which gives them a vote on their pay, terms and conditions of employment,” said Usdaw area organiser Michala Lafferty.


She added: “We are now focussed on recruiting Manx Co-op staff to Usdaw [and] also building and training a network of workplace reps.”
