Overloaded teachers
More than half of teachers (53%) are considering leaving the profession in the next two years, with workload one of the main reasons for the exodus, a survey of over 1,000 teachers by the NUT union and YouGov has found.
The survey found that, with teachers working anything up to 60 hours a week, over three in five (61%) cited “volume of workload” as the top reason.
