Usdaw looks to boost membership


The shop and distribution workers’ union Usdaw ran its annual recruitment week from 21-27 January with the aim of giving the union “a massive membership boost”.

The union urged all activists and staff to get involved by running stalls or making a concerted effort to speak to new starters and non-members.

The week was preceded by the union’s glitzy annual Organising Awards Ceremony, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Manchester Airport. Awards were presented in nine categories to recognise the hard work put in by lay reps throughout the year.
